SCV Garage Professionals backs qualifying commercial floor coating systems with a 15-Year Limited Warranty covering manufacturing defects and improper application that result in clean delamination under normal intended commercial use. This warranty is intended to provide clear, straightforward coverage while outlining the conditions, exclusions, and maintenance requirements that help protect long-term performance.

This warranty applies only to qualifying commercial floor coating systems installed by SCV Garage Professionals over a sound, properly prepared concrete substrate and used under normal intended commercial conditions.

Manufacturing defects in the coating materials supplied as part of the installed system that materially affect the performance of the floor.

Application-related failure caused by improper installation, including clean delamination from the substrate, provided the condition was not caused by moisture, slab-related issues, misuse, abuse, improper maintenance, or any excluded condition listed below.

Qualifying commercial floor coating systems may include:

• epoxy floor coating systems 
• polyaspartic floor coating systems 
• decorative floor coating systems 
• commercial flake flooring systems 
• qualifying coving installed as part of the original coated system, if specifically included in writing 
• 
  

This warranty does not cover conditions, damage, or performance issues caused in whole or in part by any of the following:

• moisture or hydrostatic pressure in, below, or through the concrete 
• concrete cracking, slab movement, settlement, structural shifting, or substrate failure 
• pre-existing slab defects, contamination, latent conditions, or prior coating failure 
• defects in the design, construction, or suitability of the slab, substrate, wall, or surface over which the coating system was applied 
• misuse, abuse, neglect, impact damage, improper cleaning, or failure to follow recommended care guidelines 
• exposure to battery acid, solvents, corrosive cleaning products, harsh chemicals, or other damaging substances 
• grease, food residue, alcohol, beverage syrup, or similar contaminants penetrating beneath the coating system 
• damage caused by dragged metal furniture, metal kickstands, dropped tools, heavy equipment, tracked equipment, studded or traction tires, tire scuffing, wheel spinning, dry-wheel turning, vandalism, or similar physical abuse 
• outdoor surfaces or any coating system exposed to weather unless specifically stated in writing by SCV Garage Professionals 
• normal wear over time, including scratches, scuffs, fading, gloss reduction, surface dulling, traffic patterns, or appearance changes consistent with commercial use 
• minor cosmetic variation in color, texture, or finish that does not affect system performance 
• slippery conditions caused by water, dirt, residue, grease, or other contaminants on the surface 
• repairs, alterations, or modifications performed by others after installation 
• events beyond our control, including flooding, fire, storms, earthquakes, lightning, hail, accidents, or other outside causes 

If the structure, substrate, wall surface, or coated area is damaged by any excluded condition, this warranty may be suspended or cancelled.

This warranty applies only to the qualifying commercial floor coating system installed by SCV Garage Professionals. It does not extend to other services, improvements, equipment, fixtures, wall finishes, or project components unless specifically stated in writing. Work performed by subcontractors or outside professionals is not covered under this warranty unless expressly included in writing.

Proper care helps preserve both the appearance and long-term performance of the coating system. Commercial floors typically see heavier traffic, more frequent cleaning, and greater exposure to equipment, chemicals, moisture, and contaminants than residential floors, so maintenance is especially important.

Please refer to SCV Garage Professionals’ Care and Maintenance guidelines for recommended cleaning methods, protective measures, and long-term floor care.

To remain eligible for coverage, the floor must be maintained in accordance with SCV Garage Professionals’ recommended care guidelines. The property owner or responsible party is responsible for routine cleaning and reasonable upkeep.

The coated floor must be cleaned at least weekly, and more often when traffic levels, operating conditions, or the environment require it.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper care, including:

• hard brushes 
• abrasive pads or scrubbers 
• corrosive cleaning agents 
• harsh chemicals 
• unapproved cleaning products 
• damaging maintenance methods 
• failure to remove spills, grease, food residue, syrup, or contaminants within a reasonable time 

Failure to maintain the floor properly can increase the likelihood of scratching, fading, staining, dirt buildup, grease intrusion, and premature deterioration.

Chalking, fading, gloss reduction, or color change caused by traffic patterns, environmental conditions, building orientation, location, substrate condition, or color selection is not covered under this warranty.

Normal wear is not considered a defect in materials or workmanship. This includes surface scuffing, scratches, gloss reduction, light wear patterns, and topcoat wear that can occur over time with regular commercial use. Depending on traffic, cleaning practices, and operating conditions, periodic maintenance or recoating may be recommended to help preserve appearance and performance.

If a covered condition is confirmed, SCV Garage Professionals’ sole obligation under this warranty is to repair or recoat the affected area only, as appropriate under this warranty. Coverage is limited to the original coating service provided and does not include replacement of unaffected areas.

Coverage under this warranty applies only to the specific portion of the coating system actually delaminating at the time of inspection and claim resolution.

Repair or recoating of the affected area is the exclusive remedy available under this warranty.

Any repaired or replaced portion of the coating system, together with any remaining original coated surface, will be warranted only for the remainder of the original warranty period.

This warranty:

• applies to the original purchaser only 
• is not transferable or assignable unless approved in writing by SCV Garage Professionals 
• requires full payment for the original project 
• requires proper maintenance to remain valid 
• applies only when the installed system was used under normal intended commercial conditions 
• 
  

Any potential warranty issue should be reported promptly after it is discovered so the condition can be evaluated before additional damage or wear occurs. Any warranty claim must be submitted in writing within 14 days after the issue is discovered.

If possible, retain any pieces of coating that have delaminated for inspection.
